Your Tools For Carpet Installation

John Mallow English

At CarpetPros, we know that there is more to installing carpet than just simply laying it down. We’re dedicated to providing the expert advice and services that you need to ensure a quality installation, and that includes our installation tools. We carry everything from knives, hand tools, and slitters for cuts, to specialty tools for working with resilient flooring. From removing old carpet and padding to cleaning up the mess after it’s gone, you can count on us for all of your needs. Our selection of carpet installation tools is what sets us apart from the competition.

To begin with, when we're on a job we have a very particular range of knives for cutting carpeting done by our team. We offer folding knives and fixed blade knives, as well as some specialty blades like our corner knife which has a curved blade designed to fit around corners while you are doing your cutting. We also carry the saws needed to cut carpet properly including our standard circular saws with detachable blades as well as table saws with built-in blades.

Besides these essentials, we also carry some less conventional items such as our set of six razor sharp scissors which work great in areas where a circular saw isn’t feasible.

For working with thicker materials like rugs and carpets we have pry bars which come in handy when removing old rugs or when opening up seams so that you can install new padding underneath your new rug or carpeting.

Other useful tools include seam finders which help you align seams when installing resilient flooring so that they lay flat against one another without leaving any gaps between them.

We also carry polyurethane spray which helps make seams even smoother if they are not already by smoothing them out before applying the adhesive on top of them or laying down any new material over them and finally we have corner protectors which help protect carpets from being damaged during installation by keeping the corner pieces in place until they are secured by using double sided tape before tacking them down with staples or tacks respectively, and finally we have tack lifters which not only help lift up tack heads but also help pull staples out of carpet easily after they have been pushed into place using pneumatic staplers or pneumatic staple guns respectively.

Whether your project is big or small, we can help. We use top-of-the-line carpeting equipment and back up all of our work with a limited lifetime warranty. Call today and see the CarpetPros difference!
